Una was raised in Ferron where she graduated from Emery High School and later, from Brigham Young University. As a long time educator, she taught school in Elmo, Emery, Orangeville and Ferron. Una was also the county librarian for 15 years.
Una married Francis Ward Jensen on June 20, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many different callings.
Una was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She has a life-long love of reading and enjoyed fishing with Francis.
Una is survived by her daughters, Velma Jensen Oldfield of Centerville and Kathleen (James) Lemon of Roosevelt; brothers Dean of Draper and Kent of Visalia, Calif.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one more on the way., Preceded in death by her husband, Francis; brothers John and Gerald, and parents.
Funeral services will be held Tues. March 21 at noon at the Castle Dale LDS Stake Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment in the Castle Dale Cemetery. Services under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
