Mrs Clara R (Wise) Miller, 77, wife of Leander Miller died Thursday evening, Dec 15th at the family home, two and one-half miles southeast of Wakarusa. She suffered a stroke in 1935 and never fully recovered. She had been bed fast for four months.
Mrs Miller was born Dec 29th, 1872, near Wakarusa, and married Mr Miller Dec 20th, 1899. Surviving beside the husband are a son, Harvey M Miller, Wakarusa; two daughters, Mrs Enos (Goldie) Wenger, Goshen, and Miss Bertha R Miller, at home; a brother, Christ Wise, Wakarusa, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 9:30 am in the Miller home and at 10:00 at the Old German Baptist church, two miles east of Wakarusa of which she had been a member 59 years. The Rev O A Custer of North Manchester officiated. Burial was in the Yellow Creek cemetery.
