William Theadore Attebery, 88, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on January 22, 2016 at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Mexico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton and will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson. Burial will follow at White Cloud Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25 at the funeral home.
W.T. was born June 9, 1927 in Callaway County to Noah and Fern Daro Attebery and they preceded him in death. He was married to Juanita Ewing on December 24, 1949 in Fulton and she also preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. W.T. enjoyed being a member of the Model T Club in Fulton and he was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Jefferson City. He loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He began work at the Shoe Factory in Fulton but spent most of his life in the grocery business by working at Kroger in Columbia, IGA in Fulton and then for Wetterau Foods in Mexico until his retirement in 1989.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are his children, Mike (Cherie) Attebery of Strongsville, Ohio, Doug (Joy) Attebery of Oak Grove, Missouri, Melinda (Ron) Hudson of Hatton, Missouri, Greg (Amanda) Attebery of Fulton; brother, Kenny (Carol) Attebery of Fulton; sisters, Doris Black of Columbia, Missouri and Jean Means of Fulton; grandchildren, Darian (Beau) Stinson of Springfield, Missouri, Dustin (Jennifer) Hudson of Auxvasse, Drew (Lisa) Hudson of Oak Grove, Kate (Steve) Kramer of Medina, Ohio, Ryan Attebery of Independence, Missouri, Sean Attebery of Kansas City, Missouri, Cody Attebery of Fulton, Zachary Attebery of Fulton along with great-grandchildren, Paige, Boone, Paisley, Piper, Brandon, Henry and Madison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Cloud Cemetery Association or Missouri Veterans Home Activities Fund.
