Gary V. Spaulding, 62, of Rapid City, died November 12, 2011, at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Ft. Meade.
He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice K. Spaulding; his mother, Benita LaVonne Smith; two sons, Lance G. Spaulding and Toby V.Spaulding; one daughter, Amburr S. DeCent; two brothers, Tom Spaulding, Ravenna, NE, and Weldin (Pete) Spaulding, Campbell, NE; three step-daughters and families of Bobby Sullivan, Carla Sullivan, Tanya Sullivan, and Lisa Stands; and six step-grandchildren, James Blevins, Misti Blevins, Kurt Seegrist, Abe Romero, Donna Romero, and Angelisa Stands.
He was preceded in death by his father, Valleau Foster Spaulding; a sister, Reava Spaulding; and a brother, Steve Smith.
Upon his request cremation has taken place and burial will be at at later date.
