Annie, wife of James D. Bauer, died at her late home, Main street, Macungie, Saturday afternoon at 12.45 o'clock, from a stroke of apoplexy, aged 68 years, 7 months and 9 days. Mrs. Bauer suffered the first stroke last November while visiting her brother, Calvin Barner, in this city. She was rendered helpless and was forced to remain in this city eight weeks before she could be removed to her home. Although for a time it was believed she would recover, two weeks ago the deceased suffered a stroke which rendered her bedfast and yesterday she passed away. She was born in Lower Macungie township, the daughter of the late David L. and Angelina (nee Schaeffer) Barner. She was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran church, Macungie, and was active in the Sunday school and Ladies' Aid society. She is survived by her husband and two brothers, Theodore, of Macungie, and Calvin, of Allentown. The funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock standard time at her late home in Macungie. Continued service will be held in Grace Lutheran church and burial will be made in Solomon Union cemetery, Rev. Yehl officiating.
