OBITUARY
Mrs. George Soward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Carriker was born at Jacksonville, Illinois, April 15th, 1871, and departed this life May 11th, 1927 at the age of 56 years and 26 days.
She moved with her parents to Nebraska when a child. She was converted when a young girl, and joined the Methodist church at Giltner in 1911 under the leadership of Rev. Kendall, being a member 16 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. George Soward, Sept. 28, 1887 at Giltner. To this union were born two sons and one daughter. Wallace Orme, the oldest son, preceding his mother at the age of one year.
Mrs. Soward leaves to mourn her departure her husband, one daughter Mrs. Hazel Wagner, Giltner, and one son Virgil of Callaway, Nebr.; two grandchildren, her aged father, three sisters and two brothers. The father one sister and the half brother living in Orange, California, one brother Frank of Burwell, Nebr., Mrs. Jim Benson of Hastings, and her twin, Mrs. Howard Benson of this place, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Rest for the toiling hand,
Rest for the anxious brow,
Rest for the weary, wayworn feet,
Rest from all labor now.

Mrs. Geo. Soward Dies Wednesday At Giltner
Mrs. George Soward passed away at her home in Giltner Wednesday morning after a brief illness, following a stroke Wednesday of last week. Funeral arrangements have not been made yet.
She is survived by her husband and two children, Mrs. Carl Wagoner of Giltner and Virgil Soward of Calloway. A twin sister residing in Giltner and two grand children also survive.
