Dick Bruns Rites Held Sunday
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. for Walter (Dick) Bruns, who died in Victoria at 1 p.m.
The Rev. Allen Collins, pastor of the First Lutheran church, officiated at the last rites held in the Seydler-Hill Chapel with burial taking place in the City cemetery.
Mr. Bruns was born in Gonzales County on March 18, 1909, the son of Louis Andrew and Alvina Fredrick's Templin Bruns and was married to Miss Milda Lydia Bauer on November 14, 1929. The family home was in Cost. He was a life member of the First Lutheran church and a farmer and rancher.
Surviving are his widow; and two brothers, Edwin Bruns and Robert Bruns, both of Gonzales. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha.
Pallbearers were his nephews, Carroll Gloor, D. A. West, Jason, Tommy, Louis Henry and Harold Bruns.
