WO-1-Warrant Officer-helicopter pilot, US Army, Vietnam. KIA-Company B, 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 11th Aviation Group, 1st Cavalry Division, US Army. Died at age 24 after a crash landing-after the craft was hit by enemy fire-during combat operations-shot by 50 calibre fire after he exited the helicopter and removed his "chicken plate" body armor-with the 1st Air Cav. Larry is honored on the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall: Panel 51E, Row 005. A 1961 graduate of Meritt Hutton High School, Thornton, Colorado, Larry also attended the University of Colorado at Boulder (ex-class, 1965). Married Betty Jene Thrasher (1963)-WO Branaugh's home of record was Denver, Colorado.
