The daughter of Joseph and Sarah Adams, she was born in Randolph County and had lived in this area for most of her life. She and her husband, the late Sam Broaddus, who died in January 1966, had previously lived in the Darksville community. Mrs. Broaddus was a member of the Eldad Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Broaddus had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Dave Finnell of Huntsville, since the death of her husband.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Gray Broaddus of Huntsville and William Russell Broaddus of LeGrange, California; two daughters, Mrs. Dave Finnell of Huntsville and Mrs. Anna B. Hall of Columbia; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Eldad Church with the Rev. Alfred Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery." Moberly Monitor-Index, April 10, 1969
