SHANNON CLOAR
ADA — Services for Shannon Leigh Cloar, 32, Ada, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Ada First Baptist Church, the Rev. John Haynes officiating. Burial follows at Swan Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Cloar died Sept. 9, 2003, at Fort Walton Beach, Fla. She was born Nov. 26, 1970, to Jonathan Roy and Zula Mae McGlaughlin Clark at San Antonio, Texas.

She graduated from Poteau High School in 1989 as valedictorian of the class. She was a two-year Oklahoma All-State clarinetist. She graduated from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a degree in occupational therapy. She was self-employed and contracted with Ada City Schools and Pontotoc County Co-Op as an occupational therapist.

She was a member of the OU Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band. She was a member of the Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational
Therapy Association. She was a member of the Baptist Student Union at OU and a member of Tau Beta Sigma. She was also a member of Ada First Baptist Church.

She married Jay Don Cloar May 15, 1993, at Poteau.

Survivors include her husband, Jay, of the home; two daughters, Savannah Rose, Gillian Hope, both of the home; a son, Jonathan William, of the home; her parents, Jonathan and Zula Clark, Poteau; her grandparents, Dortha Faye Pound, Wister, Mahala Jane Clark, Poteau; three sisters, Brenda Clark, Amanda Clark, Faith Clark, all of Poteau; two brothers, Douglas Clark, Jonathan Scott Clark
and wife Karna, all of Poteau; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Rita Cloar, Ada; sister-in-law, Ria Huckeby and husband Adam, Ada; and seven nieces and nephews.

Bearers are Eric Stinson, Jason Manifold, Cody Clark, Kurt Feighner, Matthew Keller, David Clark, Jimmy Eveland and Tim Keller.

Honorary bearers are Jeff Testa, Nathan Stinson and Loné Beasley.
