--ROCK HILL - Mrs. Elizabeth Pruden Ardrey, 55, of 379 Shurley St. died June 13, 1989, at Piedmont Medical Center. Funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randy McSpadden officiating. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be at the residence.
--Mrs. Ardrey was born in Woodruff, daughter of the late John Frank and Louise Jackson Rogers. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, where she was a former director of the children`s choir.
--She was also a member and former president of the Rock Hill Debutante Club, Fleur-de-lis Garden Club, Pierian Book Club, Fine Arts Association and Rock Hill Junior Welfare League. She earned her bachelor`s degree at Columbia College in 1952, and was a former teacher in the public schools in Durham, N.C. She was the widow of Dr. William B. Ardrey.
--Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Simpson and Mrs. Kelly Massey; brothers, John Rogers Jr. of North Augusta and Marion Rogers of Charlotte; a sister, Mrs. Anna Rogers Cocoros of Campobello; three grandchildren.
