ABEL GONZALES
Rosary services for Abel Gonzales, 24, 504 S. Maple St., will be conducted tonight at 7 p.m. at West Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass will be said Monday at 10 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery.
Gonzales died Saturday in Carlsbad. He was employed by Southern Insulation Corp. and was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. He attended Carlsbad schools and was previously employed by Rose Gravel Co., Snodgrass Tire Co., and Harper's Gas and Oil.
Survivors include his wife Sylvia; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jose C. Gonzales; one son, Abel Jr., all of Carlsbad; one grandmother, Sista Ortiz of Pecos, Texas; two brothers, Armando and Joe Jr.; and three sisters, Criselda Sosa, Amelia Lara, and Dora Gonzales, all of Carlsbad.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Sandate, Lionel Sandate, Cosme Martinez, Danny Muniz, Ernesto Sosa, and Manuel Lara.
