John Burton Case of Milford died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 86. Mr. Case was born in Felton, son of the late John Burton and Ethel Mae (O'Neal) Case. He was a 1933 graduate of Felton
High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Case retired as a supervisor from the DuPont Nylon Plant, Seaford, in 1975 with 371/2 years of service. At the time, he was the longest serving DuPont employee in the country.

He was an avid Delaware Bay fisherman and an avid hunter who enjoyed summers at Primehook Beach. Mr. Case was a member of Milford Elks Lodge 2401 and an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Milford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gladys B. Case; a son, Ronald B. Case of Newark; a daughter, Charlotte Davis of Milford; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
