Clifford Berkley Cole passed away October 26, 2013 at the age of 99. Cliff was born July 17, 1914 in Tolley, ND, son of Laurence and Selma (Olson) Cole. As a young man he moved to Lake of the Woods and married Emma Kalat from Pitt on June 30, 1937 at the First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. He was known as Pop Cole to all the grandchildren and many other people. He had a love for horses and dogs and was seen in many parades driving his team of horses pulling a wagon or buggy. His hobbies were traveling with his wife in their travel trailer, three wheeling and wood working. Clifford was a farmer and drove school bus for 34 years; he also worked at Rowell Laboratories. He was a father to eight children. Clifford was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years; daughter, Beverly; son, Orvn; 1 grandson; 1 great -grandson; his parents; 3 brothers; a sister; 2 son-in-laws; 1 daughter-in-law. Clifford is survived by daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Quaife of Loveland, CO, Elaine Juhre of Stillwater, MN, Karlyn (Ronald) DeMars of Farmington, MN, Barbara (Gerald) Pirkl of Baudette, MN; sons, Orrie (Karen) Cole of Chisago City, MN, Glyn (Bonnie) Cole of North Branch, MN; daughter-in-law, Karen Cole of Greenbush, MN; brother, Donald Cole of Williams, MN; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service for Clifford B. Cole of Baudette, MN will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Pitt Cemetery in Pitt, MN.
