Virginia "Sissie" Bullitt Leith, 64, of the Villanova section of Radnor Township, the first female president of the Philadelphia Securities Association, died April 20 at home.
Born and raised in Swarthmore, Mrs. Leith lived in Ardmore and Rosemont before moving to Villanova. A graduate of Oldfield's School in Maryland, she attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts and the University of Wisconsin. Mrs. Leith was a principal in the firms of Lloyd, Leith & Sawin and Tower Bridge Advisors and was a mentor to women investment advisors.
The first female president of the Philadelphia Securities Association, Mrs. Leith had also been an officer and board member of the International House, The Female Association, Wellesley College Alumni Association and Prints for Progress. She had been an Oldfield's School trustee.
Survivors: Sons, David Leith Jr., C. Kenneth Leith; daughter, Anne Gale Leith; brothers, James Bullitt Jr. of Media, Julian Bullitt of Waban, Mass.; sisters, Evelyn Hausslein of Lexington, Mass., Margaret Pough of Ithaca, N.Y., Laura Despard of Rochester, N.Y.; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Church of the Redeemer, Pennswood and New Gulph roads, Bryn Mawr section of Radnor Township.
Burial: Private.

Kenneth Leith (Kelly H.); her daughter, Anne Gale Leith (Max Allart); 4 beloved grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Fri. Apr. 26 11 A.M. in Church of the Redeemer, cor. Pennswood and New Gulph Rds., Bryn Mawr. PA. Int will be private.
