Allison, Barbara J. (Nee: Vertin) Age 59, passed away Saturday November 12, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.

Survived by her son Scott Allison; mother Ida Mae (Fiske) Vertin; sister Sharon (Denzil) Smothers; brothers Robert (Michele), Richard (Suzanne), William (Lisa), Gregory (Tara) and Kenneth Vertin. Numerous nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband William Allison (2006) and father Robert G. Vertin. Grandparents Joseph and Rosella Fiske and William and Mary Vertin; nieces Linda and Kaylee Vertin.

Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Past member of the Cantigny Post # 367 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Tuesday November 15, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Visitation Monday 4-7.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.
