Lucille "Lucy" Kinnamon Oakley Allen, 80, of Pennington Avenue, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. David Shaffer. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Allen was born April 3, 1927, in Forsyth County to Louis Franklin Kinnamon Sr. and Pearl Mae Childress Kinnamon. She was retired from PPG Industries. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, David Thomas "Pete" Allen, and a brother, Louis Kinnamon Jr.
Surviving are a son, Jimmy Oakley and his wife, Diana; two grandchildren, Shannon Fowler and her husband, Bobby, and Brandi Cunningham and her husband, Rob, all of Lexington; three great-grandchildren, Breanna Fowler, Brett Fowler and Chase Cunningham; a brother, Jerry Wayne Kinnamon and his wife, Bettie, of Winston-Salem; a sister, Lilllian Kinnamon Allan Hyatt; and two special nephews, Todd Allen and his wife, Alice, and Kit Allen and his wife, Kaye, all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at the home of Jimmy Oakley on Canary Drive.
Memorials may be made to Coggins Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 1306 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292.
