DANDO, James E., age 93, of Englewood, FL, a former long-time resident of Rochester, died September 28, 2011. An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from General Motors Corp. where he was a Labor Standards Engineer and was a member of St. Paul's U.M.C. Beloved husband of M. Kathleen "Kay" Dando, whom he married March 1, 1941, and who preceded him in death on February 22,2007. Loving father of Carolyn (Syd) Sutherland of Englewood, FL, formerly of Rochester, the late J. Edwin (Gaytha McVay) Dando and the late Michael (Molly) Dando. Grandfather of Todd Sutherland, Lori Razzano, Scott Sutherland, Brooke Dando and great-grandfather of seven. Funeral services will be private with burial in Mt. Avon Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to St. Paul's United Methodist Church or Leader Dogs for the Blind.
