"Sudden Illness is Fatal to A. B. Pace"
Inman - Arnold B. Pace, 56, of 64 Lyman Road, died unexpectedly about 4:30 pm Tuesday near Fingerville where he was inspecting a stand of timber.
Mr. Pace was born in upper Greenville County near Saluda, NC, a son of the late John V. and Ella Wilson Pace. He was manager of a pulpwood concern between Gramling and Inman.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Louise Green Pace; four daughters, Mrs. Otho Gosnell of Travelers Rest, Mrs. Donald Fain of Spartanburg, Mrs. James Ross and Miss Rachel Pace of Inman; seven sons, Remington Pace of Malone, N.Y. and James, Walter, Curtis, Samuel, Paul, and David Pace of Inman; one half brother, D. J. Hudson of Fort Worth, Tex; four sisters, Mrs. N. J. Kimbrell of Hartwell, GA, Miss Jeannette Pace of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Homer Agnew of Greenville, and Mrs Maurice Bickel of Miami, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Inman Church of God by th Revs. John L. Holland, J. W. Watkins and Leroy Cleveland. The hour will be announced.
Petty Funeral Home of Landrum is in charge of arrangements.
