On July 23, 1927 in Utica, NY, she was born to John and Barbara (Tuman) Jakobowski. She married Gene Foster on September 1, 1947.
Survivors include a daughter, Maxine (John) Florence of Tiffin; 2 sons, Gene (Debra) Foster of Findlay; Kyle Foster of Tiffin; a sister, Arlene Giotto of Penfield, NY; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene in 1971 and a sister, Lillian Jakobowski.
Mrs. Foster was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a graduate of Heidelberg College receiving her Bachelor's degree and later a Master's Degree at BGSU. She was a third grade school teacher at St. Mary Catholic School for over 30 years. After retirement, she continued to teach gifted and talented students for several years.
There will be no services or visitation.
