Dylan was born to Robert Dale Smith, Jr. and Mary Ann Holder on May 29, 1994 and passed away on November 20, 2011. He was their oldest son.
Dylan was wise beyond his years and gave his all to everyone. At the time of his untimely death, Dylan was attending Ashworth University online and planned to begin Southeast Guilford High School in January so he could "walk" with the class of 2012.
Dylan loved sports and was a true blue Carolina basketball fan. He also loved baseball and became an umpire through PG Community Center. Dylan had made the decision to enter the US Marines to defend his country, which is a small glimpse into the man he really was becoming. His generosity and giving personality will forever be missed.
Dylan is survived by his father, sister, step mom, brother-in-law, step siblings and in-laws, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Recently Dylan fell in love with Ms. Makayla Woods.
The families will receive friends from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. The funeral service for all will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2 at the church. There will be a private interment at a later time.
The Smith, Suttles, Carr, Woods and Holder families would like to thank the community for all of the love and support that has been shown to each one during this tragic time.
