Funeral services for Mrs. Alama Olivene Dillard of Shelbyville were held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Gowen-Smith Chapel. The Revs. Brent Haley and J. Harold Stephens officiated, with burial at New Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Dillard, 82, died Friday, September 6, 1996, at the Bedford County Nursing Home after an extended illness.
A Bedford County native and homemaker, she was the daughter of the late John Myrtle and Emma Pylant Damron. She was the wife of Ernest M. Dillard who died in 1983 and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Jesse L. Damron of Shelbyville, and two sisters, Mrs. Mable Frazier and Mrs. Edith D. Cooper of Shelbyville.
