Earl, 74, of Perry, passed away Sunday, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing.

Cremation has taken place. The family arranged a memorial service later. There was no visitation or services at the time of death.

Earl was the son of Earl Russell and Verna Grace (Zinker) Hunter. He was a high school graduate. He married Joan Wessel on December 8, 1976. Mr. Hunter had worked in construction in the Lansing area for several years and most recently he had worked in production at the former Wohlert Mfg in Lansing.

He enjoyed horseback riding and mounted shooting. He also loved being outdoors either hunting or fishing.

Those who cherish his memory include: wife, Joan of Perry; son, Matthew Earl Hunter of Perry; daughter, Jolyn Marie (Clayton) Case of Elsie; sisters, Mary (Randy) Ballard of Eaton Rapids and Vergie Bandt of Perry; brother, Charles Hunter of Perry; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Ernie, Robert and Rod; also sister, Verna De.
