US Congressman. In 1903, he immigrated to the United States with his parents and settled in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from John Marshall School of Law, in 1926, was admitted to the bar and proceeded to practice law. Moving to Parma, Ohio, he served as justice of the peace in Parma, (1930-32), was a member of the Ohio State House of Representatives, (1932-33) and Mayor of Parma, (1934-35). In 1937, he was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-fifth Congress, serving until 1937. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he served as special assistant to the Attorney General, (1941-50) and as an attorney in the Department of Justice, (1950-53). He then engaged in the practice of law until his death at age 62.
