In Memory of Hampton Bobo, whose burial site is not known for certain, family has recorded his burial at the Padgett's Creek Baptist Cemetery, where his parents are buried, and he may be one of the many unmarked field stones, as was the tradition of the time.
He married Amanda Layton, sometime before 1835. It is not known if any children came from this union, as Hamption died young.
Hampton was the son of Solomon Jr & Elizabeth [White] Bobo, of Cross Keys Union County SC, the grandson of Solomon Sr & Mary [Potts] Bobo, of Union CO SC, his White grand parents were, Robert Sr & Mildred [Whitehead] White, also of Union Co. Solomon Sr was a Revolutionary War soldier, serving in Gen Andrew Pickens Army, fought at the Battle of Cowpens, a turning point in the war. His Great Grand Father Capt Lewis Bobo, and his Wife Sarah both served in the Revolution. His White grand father Robert Sr, also served in the this War.
