Mrs. Elizabeth Schwenter, 86, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amil Krieger, 320 Johnson street, Thursday morning, November 11. She was born in Germany in 1851 and moved to Ionia in 1874.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas, who died in 1908 and two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ketchum and Mrs. Nettie Hughes.
Survivors are six children, Mrs. Anna Ketchum, Portland, Oregon; Nicholas and Albert Schwenter, Mrs. Mary Walker, Detroit; Mrs. Frieda Wadel, Ludington, and Gertrude Krieger of Ionia. Twenty-one grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the SS Peter and Paul church Saturday morning, November 13, at 9 o'clock. Interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
