Burney E. Simank, 89, of Brenham, passed away Friday at his home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 am at first United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Vein(?) officiating.

Interment will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Burney Simank was born on Oct. 9, 1909 to Charles A Simank and Zulie Knolle Simank in Industry, Texas.

Burney simank was a member of First United Methodist church, Sons of Hermann and Methodist Men.

He graduated from Brenham High School and attended Blinn College.

In 1934, he was married to Della (Siss) Wilson at a Methodist church in Marlin, Texas by the Rev. Munson.

He was a former co-owner of Brenham Memorial Chapel and a rancher.

Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Charles B and Kahki Simank of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Sharla K Sanderson of Rowlett, Texas; Kristi L Simank of Shreveport, LA; great grandchild, Preston Reese Sanderson of Rowlett, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lorena Simank Matchett and Gracie Simank Loesch; and brother, Leon Simank.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the care and direcin of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 509 S. Baylor, Brenham.
