Obituary Robert William (Bob) Bratu

Robert William (Bob) Bratu passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Findlay. He was born to Joseph and Lina Bratu on April 27, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio and married Hazel (Smith) Shepler on September 12, 1971 in Toledo.

He is survived by a son, Terry Branscom of Springfield, Missouri and a step-daughter, Patti Conrad of Catawba Island, two grandsons, Nathan Branscom of Springfield, Missouri and Tyler Branscom of Oklahoma City, two step-grandsons, Kerry Conrad of Risingsun and Kory Conrad of Marblehead. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lauren and Andrew Branscom and six step-great-grandchildren, Makahla, Kaden, Kyra, Craig, Carlee and Caris Conrad. He was preceded in death by his wife and a step-great-grandson, Francis Ryan Conrad.

Bob owned several gas stations in Toledo and most recently had worked for Kelley Chevrolet in North Baltimore. A veteran of the U. S. Navy, he enjoyed writing poetry, square dancing, traveling, playing cards and being with friends at the Findlay Senior Center.

At his request, his body has been donated to the University of Toledo Medical College. A memorial service will be held at a future date.

Robert William Bratu's military headstone is placed in the Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield Missouri.
