Mrs. Ada Jones, 83, Ava, died Thursday in St. Andrew's Hospital, Murphysboro, after an illness of one week.
She was born in 1875 in Levan Township and had lived in the Ava area all her life.
She was married to Theodore Jones, who died in 1948.
Mrs. Jones leaves sons Freeman of Ava and Vernon of Waterloo; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ben McBride of Ava; and sisters, Mrs. Edith Pulcher of Ava, Mrs. Grace Shields of Rt. 3, Murphysboro, and Mrs. Millie Morris of Peoria.
She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge No. 258 in Ava.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wilson Funeal Home, Ava, the Rev. Lloyd Aud will preside. Burial will be in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m.
