Died at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1981, at Baton Rouge General Annex. He was 69, a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Allied Chemical Corp. employee. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home after 8 a.m. Friday. Religious sercies at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. James Whittington and the Rev. Ray Harrison. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Velma N. Wales, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Lula Wales and Mrs. Velma Gordon, both of Baton Rouge; and a brother, George Wales, Pine Grove. Preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Carroll Lee and Ronnie Shaffer, Ray and Melvin Cain, Neland Westbrook and Fred Slaton. He was a member of Weller Avenue Baptist Church.
