Alice Mae Moss Dodd, 57, of 1455 S. 13th St. died Saturday in Harrisburg Hospital.

She retired as a supervisor with the state Department of Public Welfare, Blindness and Visual Services; also retired from the Dauphin County Sheriff's Office; and was a member of the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, American Business Women's Association and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

She was a past daughter ruler and financial secretary of Cyrenus Temple 75, IBPOE of W; a member of the Past Grand Daughter Rulers Club No. 1 of Central Pennsylvania, the Civil Liberties Fez Club and the Grand Public Relations Department; a charter member and vice president of the Donald P. Wilson Riders Club; and charter member of the Jean C. W. Smith Boosters of Central Pennsylvania. She was a member of Keystone Past Daughter Rulers Council and the Pennsylvania State Elks Auxiliary Association and was Elks assistant state directress of education.

She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Steelton and the Charles P. McClane Marching Club; past president of her temple's education department; a former Elks district deputy grand daughter ruler; a former state Elks trustee; and a past state Elks president.

Surviving are two sons, Anthony Edward and Eric Alan, both of Harrisburg; two daughters, Felicia Etta Williams of Steelton and Nicole Antoinette Dodd of Harrisburg; four grandchildren; and three-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick Cathedral. Burial will be in Baldwin Cemetery, Steelton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight in Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with Elks services at 6: 30 p.m. and a prayer service at 8 p.m.
