Frank M. Adams Jr., 63, of Old Nashville Road died Thursday afternoon Aug. 28, 2003, in a traffic accident near Gaylord, Mich. His wife, Susan Prather Adams, also died in the accident.

Mr. Adams lived in Columbus for 36 years and was head of Frank Adams Associates architecture firm. He was the architect for Knobview Hall and the Paul V. Ogle Center at IUS.

He was a 1958 graduate of New Albany High School, a graduate of the fine arts school of architecture at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and earned a master's degree at the American Institute of Architecture.

He was a member of North Christian Church, where he had held several offices and was congregation chairman in 2001. He also was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, Columbus Rotary and Harrison Lake Country Club.

The funeral for Mr. Adams and his wife will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at North Christian Church with the Rev. Greg Russell officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street and from noon until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Gar-land Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County or North Christian Church.

Born in New Albany March 24, 1940, Mr. Adams was the son of Frank M. and Dorothy E. Stalker Adams. He married Susan Jean Prather Aug. 10, 1969.

Survivors include his parents, of New Albany; a son, Benjamin Adams of Columbus; a daughter, Tricia Adams of Indianapolis; and a sister, Susan L. Adams of New Albany.
