Herbert Eugene McVay, 80, of Malvern, Arkansas passed away November 24, 2011 at St.Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. He was born July 15, 1931 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late Harvey Eugene McVay and Mildred (Jennings)McVay. He was a member of the North Main Church of Christ and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and telling stories to his grandchildren. He retired as a Millwright from Alcoa Aluminum Metals in Bauxite, Arkansas. He never met a stranger and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Alford McVay.

Survivors include his wife Violet Eileen McVay, daughters, Vicki Head and and husband , Max, Rebecca Mickle, Theresa Barlow and husband George and Kristine Overstreet, son Steven Eugene McVay and wife Tefaney, brothers James McVay wife Marilyn, Bobby McVay wife Virgee, sisters Margaret Boyd and husband Virgil and Violet McVay, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday, November 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Clear Creek Cemetery on Country Club Road, officiated by Ed Simmons.
Pallbearers are grandsons Jermey Allen, Robby Morehead, Michael Head, Logan Overstreet, Seth McVay, and special son Joe Overstreet. Honorary pallbearers are Max Head and Bill Harding.

Arrangements are by Boyd and Regency Funeral Home.
