Funeral services for Glenna Mae Taylor, 23, of Point Pleasant, the 36th victim of the Silver Bridge disaster to be recovered from the Ohio River, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lewis-Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, W.Va.
Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Harrisville. Mrs. Taylor was the wife of Denzil Ray Taylor, a Point Pleasant High School teacher, who was in the car with her when the bridge collapsed. His body has not been recovered.
Mrs. Taylor was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Grose of Pennsboro.
She was a former teacher on leave from Point Pleasant High School and with her husband had resided in the K & K Mobile Home Park near the Point Pleasant city limits. The couple had been expecting their first child in January.
She was a graduate of Glenville State College and a member of the Pennsboro Church of Christ. Here she attended both Bellemeade EUB and Trinity Methodist Churches. Friends may call at the Lewis-Rogers Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Friday. If the body of Denzil Taylor is found before Saturday, it was reported, joint funeral services will take place. If not a special memorial service will be conducted along with funeral services for his wife.
