Chester N. Denney, 89, Tampa, FL. Passed away on January 26, 2011. Born in Bidwell, Ohio on 5/17/21. Mr. Denney spent his entire working life involved in aviation. He loved flying. Mr. Denney served with the Army Air Corp in WWII as part of the Flying Tigers in the China Theater flying 95 missions. He arrived in Tampa as part of the Strategic Air Command in 1957 and flew B-47's out of MacDill AFB. He later served with the FAA as a general aviation inspector. In retirement he spent many years giving flying lessons to students at Peter O Knight field on Davis Islands. Mr. Denney attended Ohio State.

Chester was a nice guy who gave me some flight instruction in my early days. He was a superbly nice gentleman and great family man. I was very sad to see that he had passed but he certainly lived a very long, well-lived life.
