Services were at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, at Rome Baptist Church with burial in Marks Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks had charge.
Mrs. Ackerman was a Calhoun County native and a longtime resident of Sumner and Drew. She was a member of Drew United Methodist Church and the Sumner Music & Culture Club. She was also an avid bridge player and a member of several bridge clubs.
Mrs. Ackerman, the widow of M. T. Hardy, leaves two daughters, Eva Pack of Maryville, TN and Peggy Grippi of Fort Campbell, KY; a son, Greg Hardy of Jackson, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Lung Association.
