Bookkeeper Dropped to Pavement Due to Heart Failure
In attempting to board a street car at the transfer station at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon, Walter F. Vreeland of 1410 West Tenth avenue, fell to the ground in an insensible condition. He was taken to the Rosser drug store, 803 Kansas avenue, and C.B. Van Horn was called immediately. He died in the ambulance on the way to St. Francis hospital.
Mr. Vreeland, who was a brother-in-law of Henry Bennett, the contractor, and his bookkeeper, just celebrated his sixty-ninth birthday Monday. He had not been complaining of poor health.
