On January 26, 2008, Debbie Jean Faries of Lynden, WA, age 52, passed away peacefully at home after a 6 year battle with cancer. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, January 2, 1956, to Elmer Taylor Faries, Jr. and Jean Ann Faries (Davis). Debbie graduated from Elkton Christian High School in Elkton, Maryland. She attended Cascade Business School in Bellingham, WA. Debbie began her employment as a secretary at Family Court in Wilmington, Delaware. She and her mother moved to Ferndale in 1980 following the death of her father. She was employed as an assistant buyer at the Conoco Phillips Ferndale Refinery since 1986. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Elmer T. Faries, Jr.; brother- in-law Bob Stewart, and nephew, Christopher Stewart. She is survived by her mother, Jean Faries; sister, Carol Stewart of Lynden; nephew, Robert T. Stewart (Stephanie) of Lynden; and niece, Dawn Hanson (Todd) of Burlington; great niece and nephews, Jacob Hanson, Samuel Hanson, Alex Hanson, Cooper Hanson, and Grace Stewart; and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be held in the Moles-Ferndale- Funeral Home Chapel, 2039 Main St. on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
