Oran Gilbert Joudrey 1972 Bridgewater Bulletin

Oran Gilbert Joudrey, Newburne, passed away Monday, November 6, 1972, at West Northfield at the age of 60. Born at Maplewood, he was the son of the late Charles and Mina (Conrad) Joudrey.

He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Veinotte; two sons, George of Bridgewater; Curtis of Halifax; three grandchildren, Kenneth, Aleson, and Jennifer; two sisters, Marjorie (Mrs. Clarence Dexter) of Brooklyn, Queens County; Ruth (Mrs. James Carver) of LaHave; two brothers, Roy and Robert of Maplewood. One brother, Charles, predeceased him in World War Two, Italy, May 25, 1944.

The funeral service was held on Thursday, November 9, at St.Matthew's Lutheran Church, Newburne, by Pastor Rev. Rolf Meindl. Mrs. Avery Lantz was organist. Choirs from New Germany Lutheran Church, Maplewood and Parkdale Baptist and Newburne sang,"What A Friend We Have in Jesus," "My Faith Looks Up to Thee," and "Dear Lord and Father of Mankind." Interment was in the Newburne Cemetery.
