She was born 18 Apr 1899 in Panguitch, Utah to Fredrick Michael Gavin and Elizabeth Jane Reynolds of Missouri. She was married once before to George Thomas Clark on 10 Apr 1925 in Juab, Utah. They had two Children together: George Howard Clark and Le Grande Clark. They Divorced around 1930.
She married her second husband William Jesse Barker on 11 Mar 1931 in Provo, Utah. He was 51 and she was 32. They had six children together. Wakana, Heward, Lograna, Lucille, Ray and Mary Lou.
