Glida L. Sokolik, 96, of La Farge, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. She was born on February 11, 1919 in Vernon County the daughter of James and Clarabelle (Rankin) Dobbs. She was the sole survivor of thirteen children. Glida attended the Weister Creek School. Glida loved doing puzzles, lawn work, and gardening in her free time. She enjoyed baking, making birdhouses, fishing, and driving her golf cart all over La Farge.

Glida is survived by her children: Dick (Pat) Long of Viroqua,

Victor (Carol) Long of Genoa City,

Robert (Vickie) Long of Ontario;

many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend.

Glida is preceded in death by her husband Robert, children Roger, Rita, Ann, Janet, and Ronald.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Seland Huston Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Seland Huston Funeral Home Friday, April 10, 2015 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
