Ebenezer was the husband of Mary Pratt, the daughter of Benjamin Pratt. They were married on 22 March 1759 in Plympton, Plymouth county, Province of Massachusetts Bay and the following children:

Ebenezer was a Soldier of the French and Indian War. In 1756, he served as a Private under Lieutenant Nathaniel Cook, Major Moses Deshon's company, Colonel Joseph Thatcher's regiment, raised for the expedition against Crown Point under John Winslow, commander-in-chief. In 1759, he was a Private in Capt Sylvester Richmond's company, Third Regiment of Massachusetts Provincials.

Ebenezer died of smallpox at his home in the Halfway Pond area of Plymouth. As was the custom regarding victims of smallpox, Ebenezer was buried in isolation, specifically, in the woods on Martin Douglas' farm on the road to Sandwich. His grave was covered with two large stones, but those stones have been replaced by a large granite monument.
