Adam Troy Buckner, age 39, of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Merrillville, IN, passed away in Chandler, AZ on Monday, November 28, 2011.
Adam is survived by his mother and step father, five sisters: three brothers; sisters-in-heart and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Basil Buckner; sister, Kelly Reeves; grandparents: Russell and Dorothy Lancaster, and Roy and Fredia Buckner; aunt, Judy Lancaster.
Adam attended Portage High School and graduated from Lake Central High School in 1990.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War and had numerous degrees, including business and human resource management, computer technology, nuclear power, and HVAC. Adam enjoyed camping and hiking.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre (two blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre at 5:00 PM with Pastor Richard Brown officiating. Inurnment will take place on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN.
