Mrs. Pauline Sykes
Burlington - Mrs. Pauline Frances Nash "Polly" Sykes, 68, of 2020 S. Mebane St., died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 17, 1996, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, after nine months of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Bryon Homer "Bud" Sykes, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Luther Wilson Nash and Mrs. Blanche Boggs Nash, both deceased. She was retired from Keith's Tapes & CDs and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include one son, Mr. B. Keith Sykes of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mr. Luther Wilbert Nash and Mr. Ronald Wilson Nash.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Curtis Oakley. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham this evening from 7 to 9, and at other times at the home of Mr. B. Keith Sykes of 2025 S. Mebane St., Burlington.
