Luella Mae Woodward
Luella Mae Woodward passed away in Kennewick, Wash. on Nov. 17, 2011 at age 82.
Luella was born in Garibaldi on Jan. 25, 1929 to Carl and Esther (Crown) Davidson. She grew up in Nehalem, and graduated from Nehalem High School in 1946. On Aug.16, 1947 she was united in marriage to Gerald Woodward in Nehalem. They lived together in Nehalem, before moving to Tillamook in 1957, where she resided until about 2004.
Luella worked as a secretary for Tillamook High School and for the Tillamook Police Department. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She always kept a garden, and enjoyed canning and baking. Luella was a past member of the Tillamook First Christian Church and the Tillamook Pioneer Association.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Woodward, in 1988, and by her brother Donald Davidson.
She leaves behind to honor her life, her loving family, children, Kenneth Woodward of Richland, Wash. and Lee Woodward and wife Kathy of Kennewick, Wash.; brother, LeRoy Davidson of Nehalem; grandson, Benjamin Woodward; and great grandchildren, Andrea, and Ben.
A funeral service for Luella will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at Waud's Funeral Home in Tillamook. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sunset Heights Memorial Gardens in Tillamook.
