Marco was a sixth-grade student at Columbus Primary school and was a sweet and affectionate child. Students at his school of all grades paid tribute to Marco by singing songs to his family who were there. Students also each released colorful ballons and white doves into the sky to his memory.
His funeral was held one month later on Saturday, October 29th, 2011 at 10:00am at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He was laid to rest at Lakeveiw Memorial Gardens.
