OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — Tony Dean East, 63, of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was born Nov. 30, 1947, in Birmingham, Ala., to Quinton T. and Gladys Cotton East, both now deceased.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge and was a clerical worker for Martin Marietta X-10, retiring on Feb. 1, 1997. Mr. East had spina-bifida and was confined to a wheelchair all of his life.

He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Kristie East of Lexington, Ky.; and a sister, Quinelle East of Knoxville.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mahan Archer officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
