Came to the U.S. in about 1886. Met and married Mary Odell in 1894. They owned a grocery store and a peach orchard in north Gridley. For 50 years member of the Mason's. They had four children Roland b. 1895 Wilbur b. 1908, Leola b.1898 and Lucy b.1894 who lived only 1 year.
