lower Bank- Frank J. Klaverkamp, 73, of River Road, local civic leader and historian, died Wednesday at the Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division.
Mr. Klaverkamp was retired after 28 years as an electrician and plumber with the New Jersey Division of Parks andf Forests. He served many years on the Washington Township Committee and was a member of the Lower Bank Volunteer Fire Co. and the Green Bank Volunteer Ambulance Squad.
He was known for his collection of historical data on the Mullica River and the Pine Barrens and he worked on the restoration of many historic buildings in the state, working out of Historic Batsto Village.
A Past Master of Hiriam T. Dewey Lodge No. 226, F&AM of Egg Harbor City, also was a member of Crescent Temple, Trenton, the Collingswood Consistory and the Atlantic City Shrine Club.
