In a 1978 letter from Anna Margaret Smith of Terre Haute, Indiana about her grandmother, she wrote:
"On both sides of our family problems of heart ailments and high blood pressure have been many. Starting with my grandparents. Rebecca Duvall died following gall stone surgery, having had a bad heart before."
Cause of death: Cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder)
Rebecca (DuVall) All's Terre Haute Tribune obituary says:
"The body of Mrs. Rebecca Ann All, 59, years old, who died Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Union hospital, was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fannie Myers, near Pimento, where the funeral will be held, probably Sunday. The deceased lived near Farmersburg and is survived by nine children."
